Amy Gravitt is executive vice president, HBO Programming, for Home Box Office, responsible for developing and overseeing the production of original comedy series. She was named to this position in May 2016.

She currently oversees Silicon Valley, VEEP, Insecure, and Divorce, and the upcoming seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm & Vice Principals. She also oversaw the hit series Eastbound and Down as well as Entourage, Extras, Flight of the Conchords and Summer Heights High. Her upcoming projects include Barry with Bill Hader.

Gravitt joined HBO in 2004 as an executive assistant to the head of Comedy. She was named a creative associate in 2005, and in 2006, she was promoted to manager, HBO Entertainment (now HBO Programming). In 2008, Gravitt was elevated to director, HBO Entertainment, and served as vice president, HBO Entertainment, from 2010 to 2014, after which she was named senior vice president, HBO Programming in 2014.

Prior to HBO, she spent several years in the U.S. Navy, rising to the rank of Lieutenant. She began her career in entertainment at Section 8, George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh’s production company. She graduated from Duke University with a BA in Political Science.
