Ben Browning currently serves as Co-President of Production and Acquisitions at FilmNation Entertainment. FilmNation is a leading distributor, financier and producer of independent films that is a destination for many of the world's most renowned filmmakers.

In his current position Browning packages and supervises many of FilmNation’s internal production, financing and acquisition titles which have included three consecutive Academy Award® nominees for Best Picture – Denis Villeneuve’s 8-time nominee ARRIVAL, Lenny Abrahamson’s Academy Award® winning ROOM and Morten Tyldum’s Academy Award® winning THE IMITATION GAME.  Browning's other recent productions include executive producing Michael Showalter's THE BIG SICK which premiered to rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival, selling to Amazon Studios; producing John Madden's Golden Globe nominated MISS SLOANE starring Jessica Chastain for EuropaCorp; executive producing Morten Tyldum's PASSENGERS starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt for Sony Pictures; executive producing Marc Webb’s recent indie hit GIFTED for Fox Searchlight; and executive producing Ritesh Batra’s critically acclaimed THE SENSE OF AN ENDING for CBS Films.

Upcoming FilmNation productions for Browning include executive producing Richard Eyre's THE CHILDREN ACT starring Emma Thompson, Sebastian Lelio's DISOBEDIENCE starring Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams, Jeremy Saulnier's HOLD THE DARK for Netflix, Dan Fogleman’s LIFE ITSELF, and Jennifer Kent’s THE NIGHTINGALE.  Outside FilmNation, Browning is also developing an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s THE GRAVEYARD BOOK for The Walt Disney Company.

Prior to joining FilmNation, Browning co-founded the private equity backed film finance and production company Wayfare Entertainment in 2008 and rose from Managing Partner to CEO. While running Wayfare, Browning and Academy Award winning filmmaker James Cameron served as Executive Producers on Universal's 2011 feature SANCTUM 3D which generated worldwide box office over $110 million; and Browning produced, developed and financed films including Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck’s IT’S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY for Focus Features starring Zach Galifianakis; Neil Jordan’s multi-award winning ONDINE for Paramount Vantage starring Colin Farrell; and Sebastian Cordero’s digital hit science fiction adventure EUROPA REPORT.

Prior to founding Wayfare Browning was an executive at Industry Entertainment in Los Angeles producing independent television shows including Masters of Horror for Showtime, Fear Itself for NBC and Masters of Science Fiction for ABC. Browning also worked at the talent agency APA in Los Angeles and started his career at the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi in London.  Browning graduated from the London School Of Economics.
