Kiska Higgs is a seventh generation Californian and San Diego native.  She is currently SVP, Head of Acquisitions & Co-Productions at Focus Features, and in that role responsible for building the studio’s slate of filmmaker-driven stories from around the world, including Jeff Nichols’s LOVING and Julia Ducornau’s RAW, and next year’s Wim Wenders’s POPE FRANCIS – A MAN OF HIS WORD documentary, Lenny Abrahamson’s gothic chiller THE LITTLE STRANGER and debut features from Cory Finley and Laure de Clermont-Tonnere.  Having started out in the mailroom at Endeavor (now WME), she’s worked in the Universal Pictures family for 12 years, for Chairman Donna Langley, as a Creative Executive at Universal Pictures where she oversaw PITCH PERFECT, and as a Director of Acquisitions in London with Universal Pictures International.  She graduated from Princeton with a degree in Philosophy in 2001.
