Inside Sundance Labs with Miguel Arteta and John Lopez: Friday, June 23rd - Latino Lens Space

Miguel Arteta is a Puerto Rican filmmaker living in Los Angeles. His first three features, Star Maps (1997), Chuck & Buck (2000) and The Good Girl (2002), all premiered and found distribution at the Sundance Film Festival. He then made Youth In Revolt (2009), Cedar Rapids (2011) and Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (2014). His new film, written by Mike White, is Beatriz At Dinner, starring Salma Hayek, John Lithgow, and Connie Britton. His upcoming feature is called Duck Butter, with Alia Shawkat, Laia Costa and Mark and Jay Duplass. His earlier TV work includes Freaks and Geeks, The OfficeSix Feet UnderEnlightenedThe New GirlNurse, JackieThe Big CAmerican Horror Story and HBO’s Getting On. He was awarded an Independent Spirit Award for his work on Chuck & Buck. He has also taught at the Sundance Institute’s Directors Labs and at the Middle Eastern Film Lab in Jordan.
